The SDMCET Alumni Association in its agenda for 2007-08 has decided to open a ‘Book Bank’ for first year students (I & II Semester). One book will be issued per student for a semester duration. This scheme will be later extended to higher semesters in future. 

In commemoration of 60th Birth Year of our beloved President, SDMCET Alumni Association is inaugurated one of its dream projects “ALUMNI ASSOCIATION BOOK BANK” on Saturday 19th April 2008. Dr. B. Yashovarma, Secretary, SDME Society, Ujire has inaugurated the function.

I SEMESTER B.E. STUDENTS  

The Alumni Association is very happy to announce distribution of books from its book bank for the benefit of students for the current year 2008-09.The Alumni Association will issue one book to each student of I Semester, which has to be returned immediately after reopening of next semester on the date specified.

Salient features of scheme

• One book per student
• The book is being issued without any membership fee.
• Since only one book is being issued, the other books required in that semester can be circulated amongst students themselves, but students are responsible for the book they have borrowed.
• The books will be issued on first come first serve basis on 10 th OCT 2008 (Friday) from 10am onwards in BMT Laboratory of Civil Engg. Dept., SDMCET, Dharwad upto 4:00 pm only.
• For those who cannot make it on 10th can avail the facilities on 11th Oct 2008 (Saturday), between 9.30 and 11 am without fail.
• No more transactions will be entertained after 11th Oct 2008.
• This facility is being extended for the benefit of the student community and it is going to continue for many years in future. In this view students are requested not to write any thing (Names, Marking etc.) in the book and maintain the book intact.
• Students will be penalized for not maintaining the book in its original condition.
• Students cooperation is required for smooth running of the book bank.
