1. The alumni of Maharashtra state organized a meet in a resort near Alibagh on 5th .September 2004. A total of 57 alumni attended this one day event. It was a grand success. The specialty of this meet is that it has become an annual event for the alumni of Maharashtra state. We remember with gratitude the enthusiastic organization done by Mr. Naveen Hegde of Mumbai.

2. An alumni meeting was organized at Bangalore on 6th November 2004 at Club House of KSCA stadium. There was a overwhelming response from the alumni which took the total attendance beyond 200. This meet was addressed by our beloved Principal Dr. D.P.Giridhar. This meet was organized by Mr. Jagadeesh Kotturshettar and Mr. Jayant Nadgir. We acknowledge their efforts.

3. Another meet of alumni of Hubli-Dharwad was organized on 2nd December 2004 at Naveen Hotel, Hubli where in about 150 people gathered. We appreciate the initiation taken by external vice-president of the Alumni Association Mr. Sunil Rai in organizing this event.

4. In addition, the Alumni Association has co sponsored a weekly “Meet the Alumni” programme conducted by Computer Science Department at the College during the current year. This was a programme wherein every Saturday one alumni was invited to share his/her experience with the current students.

5. The institution, founded on 14th Dec. 1979, celebrated its Silver Jubilee from 22nd to 24th Dec. 2004. 23rd Dec. 2004 was exclusively devoted to alumni activities. Many alumni across the branches and across the years attended the function.

6) Alumni meet was conducted on 23rd Dec. 2004 at the Dept. Level.

7) A felicitation to the president Dr. D.Veerendra Heggade and other management was organized along with all the principlas of the institution. A magic show was organised in the evening by Shri. Kudroli Ganesh, which was enjoyed by more than 5-6 thousand people.

8) Alumni meet was arranged on the eve of Sliver Jubilee Celebrations of SDMCET on 23.12.2004. Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade, President SDME Society graced the occasion. A felicitation was made to the President and all other members of SDME Management, and also to Principals (past and current) of SDMCET on that day.

9) As per the data available from SDMCET office records, a database is compiled. However it is being put on to alumni web-site for online updating.
