ALUMNI ASSOCIATION OF SDMCET 

Alumni Association is the umbilical cord which binds the students, past and present to their alma mater.

The Alumni Association of this college was established in the year 1984 and was converted into a registered body in the year 2004.

All the students who have passed out of SDMCET, Dharwad are de-facto members of this body. The Alumni Association also wishes that the present student body of the college be associated with this association and therefore every student who enters the partials of this college is confirmed the title of “Associate Member’ of the association which will be converted to life membership after he/she passes out. 

The main objectives of our association are: 

1)  Serving as a forum to promote and foster the relationship between the association, the present students, the staff and the management of SDM College of Engineering and Technology (SDMCET) with the basic objective of exchange of ideas which besides being mutually beneficial, will generally help to serve the Alma mater in achieving excellence in technical education and contribute to improve the quality of life of the general public as visualized by the visionary Founder of SDMCET, Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade.

2)  Actively and constructively participating in the well being of SDMCET, by utilizing the goodwill, rich experience and services of the old students of the college who are a fraternity of professional engineering disciplines spread all over the country and abroad.

3)  Supplementing the efforts of the management of SDMCET and its governing council in the growth of the Alma mater at all times.

4)  Conducting programmes that are conducive and necessary to maintain the high educational standards of the college.

5)  Making intensive efforts to prepare a data bank of the past students of the college.The association decided to celebrate the ‘Silver Jubilee’ of the college in a befitting way by initialing the construction of an Silver Jubilee Alumni Block which fulfills the dual needs of a spacious seminar hall/ auditorium and a guest house for the college campus. This building which has been funded jointly by the Association and the college management is due for inauguration shortly and will be a proud addition to this campus.

The Alumni Association is also involved in several activities to faster the academic growth of our Alma-Mater.
